Alexander MacEachern

Alexander MacEachern has a diverse work experience in Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S). From 2022 to present, they have been the EH&S Manager at 6K. From 2020 to 2022, they were the Environmental Health and Safety Manager at BSCT Bradford Shawsheen Coating Technologies. From 2017 to 2020, they were the Staff Scientist and Assistant Safety Officer at Environmental Health & Engineering, where they helped manage Joint Commission Environment of Care activities, environmental tours, PCRA process and associated inspections, and provided guidance on the safe storage and handling of hazardous materials. From 2013 to 2017, they were the Environmental Health and Safety Specialist at Nova Biomedical, where they oversaw all EH&S efforts at a large medical device company with manufacturing and R&D spread between three facilities. From 2011 to 2013, they were the Involvement Specialist at UNCW Campus Life, where they promoted 245+ student orgs via print, video and web to enhance student recruitment and retention of membership, interacted with local businesses and agencies to generate revenue for student organization support, and provided access to confidential legal counsel to advise students on conflict management issues. In 2012, they were an EH&S Intern at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, where they created a Glove Recycling Program and developed a training and communication plan for researchers, and assisted and led lab inspections and follow-up meetings across campus.

Alexander MacEachern attended the University of North Carolina Wilmington from 2009 to 2013, where they earned a degree in Environmental Studies. In 2012, they obtained 8 Hour GHS Certification from Vertex Pharmaceuticals, 40 Hour HAZWOPER Certification from OSHA, and 24 Hour Initial 49 CFR DOT from Hazmateam Inc. In 2016, they obtained a Massachusetts Wastewater Operator- Grade 2I from the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection. Alexander is also CPR and First Aid Certified from Quadrant Health Strategies, Inc. and Confined Space Entry and Rescue Certified from Hazmateam Inc.
