John Meyer

John Meyer has an extensive work experience spanning from 2005 to present. In 2005 they worked as a Materials Lab Co-Op at Mercury Marine. From 2007 to 2007 they held the role of Weld Engineering Intern at Vermeer Manufacturing and Research Assistant at Ames Laboratory - United States Department of Energy. In 2013 they worked as a Materials Engineer at Elektrisola Inc. where they coordinated thermal-mechanical process development efforts, mobilized small teams to determine and correct root cause of product failures, and initiated a study that identified a 40% process efficiency difference between raw material suppliers. From 2015 to 2020 they worked at Carpenter Technology Corporation as Principal Metallurgist - Powder R&D, Technical Manager - Carpenter Powder Products, and R&D Senior Metallurgist - Powder Materials. Currently, they are the Director of Technology, AM Products at 6K.

John Meyer attended Iowa State University, where they obtained a B.S. in Materials Engineering in 2009 and an M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering in 2012.
