Sudhir Kulkarni

Sudhir Kulkarni has a long history of successful engineering and management roles. Sudhir began their career in 1986 as a Senior Research Engineer at Ceramatec, where they conducted research in electrical and magnetic characterization of semiconductors, materials synthesis, and more. In 1989, they joined AVX as a Director of Product Development Group, where they were responsible for developing new products from concept to commercialization. Sudhir then became Manager of the Assembly and Packaging Lab, and then Senior Member of Technical Staff, where they initiated new DPA procedures and electrical testing utilizing electron microscopy. In 1999, they were promoted to General Manager of the business unit, where they developed a strategic plan, implemented lean and continuous improvements, and improved revenue by 30% and profitability by 50%. In 2005, they started ESVEE Pharmaceutical Pvt. Ltd from concept and took the company from zero to 250 employees in four years and breakeven in 24 months. In 2010, they joined Johanson Dielectrics as Vice President of Engineering, where they transformed a money-losing, highly commoditized product line into a revenue and profit-generating dynamo. In 2013, they joined PBC Tech, erstwhile Paper Battery Company, as Vice President of Engineering, where they took product from initial lab samples to over 100 pieces per day with requisite initial properties and reliability. Finally, in 2019, they joined Amastan Technologies as Vice President of Engineering and Materials Processing.

Sudhir Kulkarni started their educational journey in 1969 when they earned a B.E. in Metallurgy from MS University of Baroda, Technology Faculty. Sudhir then went on to earn an M.Tech in Metallurgy from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur between 1974 and 1976. Sudhir concluded their formal education in 1985 when they earned a PhD in Materials Science from Oregon Health & Science University.
