Ameya began their career at PPS ENERGY SOLUTIONS PRIVATE LIMITED as a Product Development professional, working on web development and mobile applications for infrastructure development projects.

Ameya's early work experience includes a role as a Senior Programmer at Accenture, where they worked on product development for VMware and maintained CMMI Level 5 standards.

Ameya Paratkar's education history begins in 1992 when they attended St. Lawrence High School and completed their high school education in 2004.

In 2006, Ameya enrolled in Vishwakarma Institute Of Technology and pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering. They completed their degree in 2010.

Ameya then furthered their education by obtaining a Diploma in Contemporary World Politics from University Grants Commission & S.P. College, Pune in 2015. In the same year, they also pursued a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Indira Gandhi National Open University, which they completed in 2017.

In 2016, Ameya attended The Takshashila Institution and obtained a Graduate Certificate in Public Policy Analysis.

In 2021, they pursued a certification in Advanced Agile Product Management from the Institute of Product Leadership.

Aside from their formal education, Ameya has also obtained additional certifications such as Certified SAFe® 6 Product Owner/Product Manager from Scaled Agile, Inc. in June 2023, Project Management Professional (PMP)® from the Project Management Institute in July 2021, and they have also served as a TEDxPune Co-organizer certified by TED Conferences in March 2017.
