Julia Martin

Julia Martin has extensive experience in various roles related to content creation and editing. Julia started their career as a Teaching Assistant at Illinois State University. Julia then worked at Game Designers' Workshop as an Editor/Typesetter and Associate Editor, where they edited and typeset hard science-fiction roleplaying games. Julia also supervised employees and managed freelance writers.

Julia later joined TSR, Inc. as a Senior Editor, where they edited technical roleplaying game manuals and wrote and edited web articles and marketing pieces. Julia led and managed workgroups during their tenure.

At Wizards of the Coast, Julia held multiple roles, including Senior Editor, Senior Online Media Producer, and Editor. Julia then joined Microsoft (MAQ Consulting) as a Technical Writer 3, where they wrote dialog, user assistance, and web content for various products and internal partners. Julia notably worked on dialog for Cortana, a conversational understanding speech system.

After that, Julia worked at Cambia Health Solutions as a Web Content Producer and later as a Digital Producer Sr. Julia wrote UI/UX copy, edited articles, and built experiences for Cambia's websites and mobile apps. Julia also collaborated with marketing and technical teams.

Julia's next role was as a Content Strategist at Anthem, where they provided content strategy for the Anthem Medicare web experiences.

Most recently, Julia joined Cisco Meraki as a UX Writer/Copy Editor. Through a contract with Modis, they documented a new design system and wrote microcopy, transactional emails, and support documentation for Meraki networking products.

Currently, they are working at 6sense as a Senior UX Writer.

Julia Martin has an M.A. in English from Illinois State University, as well as a B.A. in English from the same institution.
