Kate O'Brien

Kate O'Brien is the Head of People at Practice Better, a nutrition practice management platform, since March 2023. In addition to this role, Kate serves as a Mentor for Monday Girl, supporting professional women across Canada, and advocates for pay equity with 81cents by mentoring underrepresented professionals. Previous experience includes positions as People Business Partner and Head of Canada at VTS, People Operations & HR Lead at Lane, and various roles at Techstars and Vretta Inc. Kate founded and operated Décor O'Brien, an e-commerce site for home decor. Early career roles included Assistant Manager at The Muskokery and Executive Assistant at the Muskoka Lakes Chamber of Commerce. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurship and Strategy from Ryerson University.
