Mark Caplan

Mark Caplan is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in IT infrastructure and operations. Currently serving as VP of Infrastructure, Operations, Security, and Risk at 84 Lumber since October 2017, Mark leads a diverse team of over 40 members and successfully implemented cost reduction strategies that improved EBITDA. Prior to this role, Mark was VP of IT Infrastructure & IT Operations at rue21 for over twelve years, managing significant budgets and contributing to the company's growth from $170 million to $1 billion across over 1,100 retail locations. Earlier in Mark's career, a directorial position in Data Center Services was held at Saint-Gobain / CertainTeed Corporation from 1998 to 2004. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh.
