Giri Tatavarty

Giri Tatavarty has over 20 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Giri started their career at Interra as a Software Engineer from 2000 to 2001. Giri then worked at Oracle as a Support Engineer from 2001 to 2003. Giri then joined Graphet Inc as an Energy Data Mining Analyst from 2006 to 2008. Giri joined dunnhumby as a Senior Technical Architect in 2008 and later became a Data Science Manager in R&D from 2014 to 2016. At the University of Cincinnati - College of Engineering and Applied Science, Giri served as an Adjunct Instructor teaching cloud computing and distributed computation concepts from 2017 to 2022. In 2016, they joined 84.51° as a Data Science Manager in R&D and later became the Director of Data Science - Digital Personalization from 2017 to 2022. Currently, Giri is serving as the Vice President of Data Science at 84.51° since April 2018, where they specialize in spearheading AI and Generative AI initiatives and constructing large-scale recommender systems.

Giri Tatavarty obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Delhi College of Engineering in 2000. They then pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science at the University of Cincinnati from 2003 to 2006. Giri Tatavarty continued their education at the University of Cincinnati and completed a part-time Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science from 2006 to 2018.
