Daniel Couch

Daniel Couch has extensive work experience in project finance and investment banking. Their most recent role is as the Director of Project Finance at Avantus, a position they started in August 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Project Finance at Origis Energy from March 2021 to August 2022. Daniel also held positions at NextEra Energy Resources, where they were a Lead Project Manager in M&A from October 2020 to March 2021 and a Business Manager from December 2018 to October 2020. Before that, they worked at MUFG as a Vice President of Project Finance in Investment Banking & Markets from May 2013 to November 2018. Daniel started their career as a Summer Associate at Hess Corporation in June 2012 and subsequently worked as an Energy Investment Banking Analyst at Bank of America Merrill Lynch from July 2009 to June 2011.

Daniel Couch earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Spanish from Wake Forest University, where they attended from 2004 to 2008. Daniel later pursued a Master of International Affairs (MIA) with a focus on International Energy Management and Policy at Columbia | SIPA from 2011 to 2013.
