Vivek Gopalan

Vivek Gopalan is an experienced professional with a background in investing and software engineering. Currently involved with 8VC since 2020, Vivek focuses on enterprise data and software infrastructure, as well as B2B SaaS. Previous experience includes a role as a Software Engineer at Yugabyte, where Vivek worked on distributed SQL in the cloud, and a position at Bloomberg LP, contributing to the Sales Intelligence Machine Learning Team by building and deploying end-to-end model pipelines. Early career experiences include leading the Pauli Murray Digiography Project at Yale Digital Humanities Lab, interning as a summer researcher at Yale University, and gaining engineering experience at Transpo Group. Vivek holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Yale University and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
