Emil Ivov

Emil Ivov is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in video communication and open-source software. Currently serving as VP of Product for Video Platform and Services at 8x8, Emil successfully launched Jitsi as a Service and achieved substantial growth by redefining the target audience for 8x8's video products. Emil is also the founder and project lead of Jitsi, leading its evolution into a premier open-source video conferencing platform since 2003. Previously, Emil held the position of Chief Video Architect at Atlassian, where significant advancements in real-time video communications were made. With a PhD in Computer Science, Emil has also contributed to academia as a guest lecturer and has an extensive background in real-time application standards through participation in IETF initiatives.
