Mary Johnstone

Mary Johnstone has a diverse work experience in various human resources roles. From 2020 to the present, they worked at 9 Story Media Group as the Director of Total Rewards and previously as the Director of Human Resources Global Projects. Prior to that, from 2011 to 2019, they served as the Manager of Human Resources at CPA Canada, where they led HR operations during a merger of three professional organizations. In 2011, they worked at Aeroguard Group as the Manager of Human Resources, leading a team for federally contracted employees. From 2001 to 2010, Mary held the position of Director of Human Resources and Corporate Services at Goodmans LLP, where they focused on building a 5-star service culture. Mary also worked at the Law Society of Ontario from 1998 to 2001 as the Manager of Human Resources, leading efforts during an organizational restructuring.

Mary Johnstone has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a specialization in Research (Honours) from Laurentian University/Université Laurentienne. Mary also has a Master of Business Administration degree from Lake Superior State University. Additionally, Mary has completed a program in Adult Education at George Brown College and has taken courses in French for non-Francophones at Université Laval. Mary is also a Certified Human Resources Leader accredited by the HRPA (Human Resources Professionals Association).
