Jimmie Oxley is currently an advisor at 908 Devices. Oxley has also worked as an independent training consultant and contract instructor for Ahura Scientific from February 2010 to February 2017, and as a program manager for research, test & evaluation, training, and scientific support at JTL Defense Services.

Jimmie Oxley studied physics as an undergraduate at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo. Jimmie then pursued graduate studies in physics at North Carolina State University. In addition, they hold a certification from the California Department of Justice in state electronic surveillance.
