Bill, a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, graduated from Marquette University in 1968, attended the University of Wisconsin Law School and graduated from Salmon P. Chase Law School in 1973.

Bill began his career in the Trust Department of the Second National Bank of Hamilton in 1970 and rose to Sr. Vice President manager of the Trust Department and then to Sr. Vice President Retail Financial Services. Second National was acquired by First National Bank of Cincinnati and was Star Bank when Bill left to establish a Trust Department at Society Bank, now Key Bank in Hamilton and joined the southwest Ohio management team for the trust division. When Bill left Key to start his Registered investment advisory business, National Retirement Consultants, Inc in January, 1997 he was Midwest Sales Manager for the KeyBank Trust Division with responsibility for Trust offices in Ohio, Michigan and Indiana.
