Matthijs Casander

Matthijs Casander has extensive experience in engineering, primarily focused on project management and mechanical design. Currently serving as Teamleader of Project Engineering at A. de Jong Groep since January 2014, Matthijs oversees the design, development, and installation of custom industrial burner systems. Prior to this role, Matthijs worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Bronswerk Heat Transfer, specializing in mechanical design for heat exchangers and air-cooled cooler projects from April 2007 to December 2013. Early career roles include engineering positions at ARCADIS and API NEON signs & displays. Matthijs holds a degree in Higher Professional Education in Physics, Design, and Engineering from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht, complemented by a secondary vocational education in Environmental and Process Engineering from Dudok College. Additionally, Matthijs completed professional development through de Baak in 2022.
