Zanagee Artis

Zanagee Artis is a dedicated advocate for environmental and climate justice, currently serving as a Fossil Fuels Policy Advocate at the Natural Resources Defense Council since May 2023, where efforts focus on opposing new fossil fuel development on public lands and campaigning against offshore drilling. As the Founder and Executive Director of Zero Hour since July 2017, Zanagee leads strategic goals and manages the leadership and recruitment of directors. In addition, participation in the Ingka Group's Young Leaders Forum provides guidance on sustainability and climate policy to IKEA's executive team. Previous experience includes roles at Goldman Sachs, contributing to compliance and financial crime analysis, and community involvement at Brown University, including research on environmental history. Educationally, Zanagee holds degrees in Political Science and Environmental Studies from Brown University.
