Amy Adams has over 20 years of experience in various roles within the fashion and design industry. Their most recent position was as Head of Design at A.L.C. since December 2013. Prior to that, they worked as the Head of Studio and Associate Creative Director at Juan Carlos Obando from November 2008. Amy also had experience as an Assistant Designer at Gianfranco Ferre in January and February 2008. From July 2005 to January 2008, they were a Designer and Partner at Michael Stewart Design. In 2004, they had an internship as an Assistant Designer and Freelance Illustrator at Stella McCartney. Earlier in their career, they held the role of Art Director at Kinesoft Development from May 1998 to March 2001 and Lead Artist at Origin Systems from December 1994 to May 1998.
Amy Adams has a diverse education history. From 2002 to 2005, they attended Central Saint Martins College, University of the Arts London, where they obtained a BA (Honours) degree in Fashion Design - Women's Wear. During the same period, they also studied Fashion Design for Women's Wear at the University of the Arts London, earning another BA Honours degree. Prior to their time in London, from 1994 to 1996, Amy pursued coursework towards a Fine Art BFA at The University of Texas at Austin. Amy had previously taken coursework towards a BFA at Austin Community College from 1993 to 1994.
