Michael Hanten

Michael Hanten has extensive work experience in various roles and organizations. Michael is currently working as the Director of Operations at A. O. Smith Corporation since 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of President at Water-Right's Clean Water Center from 2015, along with the role of Lab Director/General Manager from 2004 until 2022. Michael also worked as a Water Supply Specialist at the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) from 2002 to 2004.

Michael Hanten holds a Master's Degree in Groundwater Resources, which they obtained from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Soil Science from the same university, completing their studies from 1997 to 2002. Before their university education, Michael attended River Falls High School from 1993 to 1997. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications, including Pump Installer from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) in 2004, POWTS Inspector and Soil Tester from the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services in 2002, and a Small Water System Operator Certification from the Public Water System Operator.
