Marty Ohme

System Safety Engineer at A-P-T Research

Marty Ohme has worked in various roles since 1994. Marty began their career as a Naval Aviator with the US Navy. From 1997 to 2000, they worked as an Assistant Operations Officer with Helicopter Combat Support Squadron 6, and then as an Instructor Pilot/Scheduling Officer with Helicopter Training Squadron 8 from 2000 to 2003. From 2003 to 2005, they served as Air Officer with USS TRENTON, followed by Officer-In-Charge/Department Head with Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 26 from 2005 to 2007. After this, they worked as Assistant Department Head with Navy Expeditionary Combat Command from 2007 to 2010. During this same time period, they were also a Lead Planner/SOUTHCOM Lead with the Joint Staff and Director with the Joint Visitors Bureau. In 2014, they began working with the Naval Safety Center as an Aviation Culture Workshop Prog Mgr/Operational Risk Management Model Mgr/Aviation Safety Analyst. Since 2016, they have been a System Safety Engineer with APT (A-P-T Research, Inc.).

Marty Ohme obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Aerospace Engineering from the United States Naval Academy and a Master of Aeronautical Science in Aviation Safety and Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University between 2008 and 2013.
