Jennifer Heyside

Jennifer Heyside has a diverse work experience history. Jennifer is currently the Associate Director of Operations at A Safe Haven Foundation since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked as an Operations Manager at the same company from September 2021 to March 2023. Jennifer also served as an Operational Strategy Coordinator (AmeriCorps VISTA) at A Safe Haven Foundation from September 2020 to August 2021.

Before joining A Safe Haven Foundation, Jennifer worked as a Senior Copywriter at Veravo from October 2016 to September 2021. Jennifer also held the position of Public Relations and Content Manager at Trip2p from June 2015 to June 2016.

Jennifer gained valuable experience in media and journalism as they worked as the News Director/Newscaster at KSPC 88.7 FM Claremont from January 2015 to December 2015. Jennifer had a similar role as Life and Style Writer at The Student Life Newspaper from September 2012 to May 2013.

During their time as a student, Jennifer served as the Editor-in-Chief of The Review School Newspaper from August 2010 to June 2011. Jennifer played a significant role in launching the newspaper's first online edition and utilized Adobe In-Design software. Additionally, Jennifer had an internship at CRG Partners (Acquired by Deloitte) from June 2012 to August 2013, where they gained experience in newspaper consulting and digital media analysis using Microsoft Excel.

Jennifer Heyside attended Hathaway Brown School from 2007 to 2011, where they completed their high school education. Jennifer then pursued their Bachelor's degree in Political Studies & Asian Studies (Double Major) from Pitzer College, graduating in 2016. Jennifer also had the opportunity to study Chinese Language and Literature, as well as Chinese Media, at Peking University from 2013 to 2014. Currently, they are an MLA Candidate in Global Development Practice and a Graduate Certificate in International Relations at Harvard University, with an expected completion date of 2024.
