Sike Xia (Steven)

Sike (Steven) Xia is an experienced Quality Engineer currently at AA Metals, Inc., with a tenure beginning in September 2021. Prior to this role, Sike served for a decade at Schlumberger, where positions included Principal Materials Engineer and Senior Materials Engineer, Engineering Manager, focusing on new product and processing development for oil and gas drilling tools. Sike also held the role of Senior Materials Engineer at Smith Bits from January 2006 to January 2010, overseeing material and component development projects. Earlier experience includes working as a Metallurgical Engineer at Secat, Inc., providing technical support, and at CEPEL, Electrobras, managing failure analyses and corrosion testing. Sike holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Science and Technology Beijing, as well as a Master’s and Bachelor's degree in Materials Science and Metallurgical Physics from Jilin University.
