Nicholas Laughton

Nicholas "Donnie" Laughton currently serves as the Head of Engineering Operations at Aalyria, following a diverse career within the Canadian Armed Forces since January 2010, where Laughton holds the rank of Captain and leads complex administration and logistics as Officer Commanding of 8 Admin Squadron. Previous roles include Associate Director of Engineering at Recursion, overseeing substantial cloud infrastructure, and various leadership positions at Telesat, including Director of Technical Applications and Manager of System Operations, where Laughton initiated key projects in software development and system architecture for satellite networks. Laughton's foundational education includes a Master of Applied Science and a Bachelor of Engineering from Carleton University, along with a Bachelor of Science from Queen's University.
