Katherine Kovacs

Katherine Kovacs has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Katherine started their career in 2009 as a Workforce Planning Analyst at the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, where they administered grants and organized conferences. In 2012, they joined Apex Management & Special Events, Inc. as an Education and Research Coordinator, coordinating education programs and managing membership databases. That same year, they also began working at the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, first as a Membership Coordinator, then as an Education Coordinator, and finally as a Meetings and Education Manager. In these roles, they oversaw conference logistics, developed educational content, managed committees, and maintained accreditation files. In 2016, Kovacs transitioned to the American Academy of Pediatrics, where they held roles including Manager, Sr. Manager, and currently Director of National Conference Education Activities. Katherine'sresponsibilities in these positions included managing conference and exhibition CME, leading a team, and overseeing attendee recruitment and retention efforts.
