Lauren Geary currently serves as the Manager of Childhood Adversity, Trauma, and Resilience Initiatives at the American Academy of Pediatrics, a position held since January 2019. Prior roles at the organization include Program Manager for both Childhood Adversity and Resilience Initiatives and Adolescent and Behavioral Telehealth Initiatives, along with serving as Program Coordinator for the Bright Futures National Center. Prior to joining the American Academy of Pediatrics, Lauren Geary worked at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as a Research Affiliate and Project Manager for the Illinois Workplace Wellness Study, and held positions as Assistant Color Guard Instructor for the Marching Illini and Student Supervisor in Dining Services. Early experience includes a stint as a Research Assistant at the University of Chicago Medicine. Lauren Geary holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health and a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Health with a minor in Political Science, both from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
