Manager, Child And Family Health Initiatives at AAP

Robyn Wheatley, MPH has a strong background in public health and project management. Robyn has worked with a variety of organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatrics, Access Community Health Network, University of Illinois at Chicago, and March of Dimes.

At the American Academy of Pediatrics, Robyn served in various leadership roles. As the Manager of Child and Family Health, they currently oversee the development of vital services to raise awareness and implementation of newborn skills training in resource-limited settings. Additionally, they manage a grant-funded Project ECHO focused on essential newborn care follow-up in Tanzania. In their previous role as the Manager of Global Health Education, they led the development of a digital toolkit and directed a UNICEF telementoring grant involving hospital sites in Pakistan, Tanzania, and Kenya.

Before their time at the American Academy of Pediatrics, Robyn worked as a Project Manager at Access Community Health Network, where they directed a network-wide policy review process and developed a pediatric immunization surveillance system.

Robyn also has experience at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where they served as a Project Manager, Teaching and Research Assistant, and Project Director. In these roles, they contributed to qualitative methodology evaluations, developed training programs, taught courses, and managed research studies.

Earlier in their career, Robyn worked as a Community Director at March of Dimes, where they coordinated community fundraising efforts and developed corporate partnerships.

Robyn Wheatley, MPH, obtained their Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Community Health Sciences from the University of Illinois Chicago from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Life Sciences from Penn State University. In addition to their academic achievements, Robyn has also obtained several certifications related to professional development.
