Beatriz Aracely Bermeo Moncayo

Beatriz Aracely Bermeo Moncayo, MD, is a highly experienced ophthalmologist currently serving as a Fellow at the American Academy of Ophthalmology since January 2012. With a distinguished career in ophthalmology, Beatriz has worked at Consultorio Médico Hospital Clínica Kennedy since January 1975 and held positions at Hospital Teodoro Maldonado Carbo from January 1979 to December 2013, where responsibilities included Medical Ophthalmologist and Head of the Ophthalmology Service. Beatriz also contributed to academia as a professor at Universidad Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil from May 1994 to April 2010. Education includes a residency in ophthalmology from Universidad de Guayaquil, a medical degree from Universidad de Guayaquil, and additional training at the University of Miami Bascom Palmer Eye Institute and Escuela Superior de Oftalmología, Instituto Barraquer de América.
