Matt D'Amico

Matt D'Amico has had a diverse range of work experiences over the years. Matt started their career as a Constituent Affairs Intern at the Office of U.S. Senator Charles Schumer in 2006, where they facilitated press conferences and contributed to the Senator's media plan. In 2007, they worked as a Communications Intern at The Roman Houses. Later that year, they became an Advertising Sales and Operations Intern at Revolution Health Group, where they drafted advertising proposals and analyzed campaign performance.

In 2008, Matt joined the U.S. Department of Justice as a Paralegal Specialist, where they conducted research, analyzed financial documents, and assisted in conducting interviews for litigation purposes. Matt then transitioned to The Brookings Institution, Metropolitan Policy Program in 2010 as a Development Coordinator. In this role, they managed donor relationships, led internal projects, and wrote grant proposals.

In 2012, Matt joined the Council for a Strong America as a Senior Associate, where they managed relationships with institutional donors and implemented cultivation strategies. Matt also worked on targeting diversified revenue streams and ensuring the meeting of funder expectations.

Later, they attended Hamilton College from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a focus on Government and Economics. In 2007, they also had the opportunity to study abroad at Trinity College-Hartford's Rome Campus, where they explored Italian, Art History, and Economics. Matt continued their education at The George Washington University from 2014 to 2017, pursuing a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) degree. During the same period, they also completed a Graduate Certificate in Non-Profit Management at The George Washington University, specializing in the field of Non-Profit Management & Corporate Social Responsibility.
