Ilse Zuniga

Ilse Zuniga currently serves as the Director of External Relations for Health Policy Communications at AARP, overseeing media relations strategies for health care policy and reputation management. Previously, Zuniga was a Senior Communications Advisor at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, where responsibilities included leading media strategies for public health issues during the Biden-Harris Administration. Zuniga's extensive experience in communications within government includes roles as National Press Secretary and Traveling Press Secretary for various U.S. Senators, as well as Press Secretary for Congresswoman Jacky Rosen. Earlier career roles include Communications Director at The Porter Group LLC and positions in legal assistance. Zuniga holds a degree from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas.
