Shawn Kirkwood

Shawn Kirkwood, MHA, currently serves as the Director of Community Outreach at AARP since September 2025. Prior experience includes the role of Community Relations Manager at Sunflower Health Plan from June 2022 to September 2025, and a significant tenure at the City of Kansas City, MO, where responsibilities included managing the Municipal Court Fund Program and overseeing housing rehabilitation projects as Community Program Manager/Administrative Officer from March 2008 to June 2022. Additional roles include Real Estate Advisor for the Land Bank and Code Enforcement Officer, focusing on property inspections and legal enforcement.
