Muhammad Memon

Muhammad Memon has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of ophthalmology and clinical research. Muhammad is currently employed as the Vice President and Head of Clinical Science and Safety at AAVantgarde Bio since December 2022. Prior to this role, they worked as an Honorary Ophthalmologist and Honorary Consultant Ophthalmologist at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London from December 2021 to November 2021 and from July 2021 to November 2021, respectively.

Muhammad also served as a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Consultant Ophthalmologist (Bank) at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust from April 2021 to November 2021 and from December 2021 to the present, respectively. Muhammad worked as a Laser refractive surgeon at Optical Express since May 2021.

In their previous roles, Muhammad worked as a Retinal diseases and clinical trial design consultant and Clinical Program Director at Novai from December 2022 to the present and from December 2021 to December 2022, respectively. Muhammad also served as a Clinical Fellow in Medical Retina and Clinical Trials at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London from August 2019 to March 2021.

Earlier in their career, Muhammad worked as a Specailty Registrar in Ophthalmology at South West Peninsula Deanery from August 2011 to August 2019 and as a Specialty Doctor at Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospital NHS Trust St. Paul's Eye Unit from February 2010 to August 2010.

Muhammad's educational background includes being a Graduate student at Imperial College London from June 2008 to February 2010. Muhammad also had a fellowship experience at Harvard University/Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary from April 2007 to June 2008.
