Pat Riley has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. They started their career as a Programmer and Senior Programmer Analyst at TRW in 1981. They then worked as an Information Center Analyst at the Cleveland Clinic before joining Progressive Insurance as an IT Programming Manager, where they managed a team responsible for designing and maintaining applications supporting various lines of business.

In 1996, Pat joined Gen Re and assumed various roles over their 15+ years with the company. They worked for the primary insurance carrier subsidiaries of General Star and Genesis. During this time, they held the role of Underwriting Manager at Genesis Underwriting Management Company, where they managed a book of Directors & Officers Liability insureds.

In 2000, Pat became the Information Manager at Genesis Underwriting Management Company, responsible for providing tools and capabilities to ensure consistency and efficiency for underwriting and claims staff. They designed, developed, implemented, and transitioned various systems supporting multiple lines of business.

From 2005 to 2011, Pat served as the VP - Business Technology Manager at General Star Management Co., ensuring the strategic direction of the company's subsidiaries was supported by appropriate technology solutions.

In 2011, Pat started their own insurance/IT consulting firm as a Principal. They then worked as a Special Consultant at Navigant in 2012, focusing on strategic and IT consulting services for a P&C carrier. They helped author an underwriting workflow vision and took on program management responsibilities for a large-scale systems transition program.

Also in 2012, Pat joined ABA Insurance Services as the Director of Small Business Group & IT. In this role, they directed underwriting, sales, product, and operations efforts while managing IT web development work to support the company's business strategy.

Overall, Pat Riley has had extensive experience in insurance, IT consulting, program management, and leadership roles, demonstrating their expertise and versatility in these areas.

Pat Riley attended the College of the Holy Cross from 1977 to 1981, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics. In 1984 and 1985, they pursued further education at Baldwin Wallace University, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration degree with Magna Cum Laude honors. Later, from 1994 to 1997, Pat Riley attended Cleveland State University - Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, graduating with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in Law, achieving Cum Laude honors.
