Lina Salamanca

Lina Salamanca has a diverse work experience in the field of design. Lina is currently working as a Brand Designer at Abacum since October 2021. Prior to that, they worked at the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia from January 2019 to October 2021, where they held the position of Creative Director. In this role, they were responsible for planning and implementing communication strategies for projects and master programs, as well as conceptualizing high-level designs for both digital and print platforms. Lina also collaborated with the marketing department to establish a clear market positioning.

Before their role at the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia, Lina worked as a Visual Designer from October 2016 to December 2018 and as a Designer Intern from January 2015 to October 2016 at the same institution. Lina also gained experience as a Visual Designer at Universidad Icesi from September 2013 to July 2014, where they contributed to designing graphic materials for research projects and newsletters. Additionally, they worked as a Workshop Instructor and Designer at Ministerio de Cultura from November 2013 to January 2014, where they taught digital tools and sound editing techniques to the participants of the "Laboratorio sonoro: Paisaje cultural cafetero" project. Lastly, they served as an Art Director for the International Animation Festival 'La Truca' from January 2013 to June 2013, where they developed the visual identity and website for the festival.

Lina Salamanca pursued their education in a chronological order. Lina first attended the Universidad ICESI from 2010 to 2015, where they earned a degree in Interaction Media Design with a focus on visual design and communication. Following that, from 2015 to 2016, Lina enrolled in the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia, where they completed a Master's program in Advanced Interaction. No specific field of study was provided for their master's degree. Apart from their formal education, Lina also obtained a certification in Storytelling for Designers from LinkedIn in June 2021.
