Joy Kurian

Barge Engineer at Aban Offshore

Joy Kurian began their work experience in 1995 as a 2nd Engineer for The Shipping Corporation of India Ltd. They then worked as a 1st Assistant Engineer (2nd Engineer) for OMCI Shipmanagement Pvt.Ltd from 1997 to 2001. From 2001 to 2003, Joy Kurian served as a Chief Engineer for OMCI Shipmanagement Pvt.Ltd. They then joined BP in 2004 as a Chief Engineer, where they remained until 2008. In 2008, Joy Kurian became a Chief Engineer at Aban Offshore Limited, where they managed technical and administrative affairs and ensured company standards were met. They were responsible for all aspects of technical and engineering work and implemented company policy and strategy.

Joy Kurian completed a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Govt Engineering College Trichur, Calicut University from 2003 to 2008. Prior to that, from 1980 to 1982, they pursued a Pre-degree Course in PCM from St. Thomas College Trichur, Calicut University. They also completed their High School education from St Antony's High School Puthenpeedika, Trichur from 1974 to 1980. Additionally, Joy Kurian obtained certifications such as CHIEF ENGINEER 1ST CLASS (MOTOR) from the DIRECTOR GENERAL OF SHIPPING, GOVT OF INDIA in June 2016 and DP TECHNICAL & MAINTENANCE from SIR DEREK BIBBY INTERNATIONAL in July 2014.
