Vafa Safarli-Abdullazada

Vafa Safarli-Abdullazada has a diverse range of work experience. Vafa is currently working at ABB as the Acting Director of Marketing, where they began in October 2023 after being promoted from the role of Deputy Director of Marketing. Prior to this, they worked at the Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) from May 2019 to May 2023 as the Head of Communications. Before that, they were with the Port of Baku from October 2015 to May 2019, starting as the Marketing and Public Relations Manager and then being promoted to the role of Head of Marketing and Public Relations. Additionally, they worked at ADA University from August 2013 to June 2015 as the Head of Brand and Communications. Vafa'searliest work experience was with the United Nations, where they held various roles from December 2009 to August 2013, including Public Information Associate, Public Information Assistant, and Intern/Senior Intern.

Vafa Safarli-Abdullazada has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in International Business from Maastricht School of Management, which was obtained from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, Vafa Safarli-Abdullazada completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Language and Literature, General from Qafqaz Universiteti between 2006 and 2011. Currently, Vafa Safarli-Abdullazada is pursuing a Professional PR Diploma in PR and Communication from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations - CIPR since 2022. Additionally, Vafa Safarli-Abdullazada has obtained certifications in "Understanding Media by Understanding Google" from Coursera Verified Certificates in 2014 and in "A complete online PR and communications master-class" from the International School of Communication (ISOC) in 2014.
