Glen Burella

Glen Burella, PhD, currently serves as Vice President of Business Development at Abbey Capital (US) LLC since April 2021, after previously holding the position of Research Analyst at Abbey Capital Limited from June 2014 to October 2020. Prior to this role, Glen worked as a Sportsbook Risk Executive at Betfair from October 2013 to June 2014, where quantitative metrics for market profitability and customer behavior models were developed. An academic background includes experience as a Lecturer and Tutor at NUI Maynooth from October 2009 to October 2013, combined with research on Hecke-type structures for a doctoral thesis in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics. Glen earned a PhD from Maynooth University in 2013, following a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematical Physics and Applied Mathematics from the same institution.
