Collin Plehiers

Collin Plehiers, CPA, is a Tax Director in ASL’s High-Net-Worth Group. With over 14 years of experience, Collin got his start at Wheeler (fka LMGW), a local Silicon Valley CPA firm, working closely with several well-known CPA’s, gaining broad exposure to accounting and individual and business taxation. He worked with prominent C-level executives who had various tax needs ranging from stock based compensation to closely held businesses and trust structures that held and managed significant portions of their net worth.

Shortly after the Facebook IPO, with stock compensation booming, Collin started working for a firm in the tech epicenter of Palo Alto where he continued to assist tech executives with tax planning for RSU’s, ISO’s, ESPP’s, NSO’s, Qualified Small Business Stock, and general consulting for diversification of wealth. His time included working with clients at startup’s, pre-IPO companies, all the big tech names, and helping clients with both pre-liquidity and post-liquidity planning.

After many years, Collin continued his career working for Johanson & Yau where he assisted in the acquisition of a smaller firm and took over managing large parts of a few practices of retiring partners, building upon his experience with high-net-worth individuals, closely held businesses, trusts and estates, and multi-generational wealth planning.

Collin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Business Management from San Jose State University and received a Certificate of Advanced Accounting Proficiency from Santa Clara University.
