As Abbott’s Executive Vice President, Human Resources, Mary Moreland leads the company’s efforts to support and develop employees, to help them both support Abbott’s mission and live their own best possible lives.
Prior to assuming her current role in August 2019, Mary served as Abbott’s Divisional Vice President, Compensation and Benefits.
Mary has dedicated her entire career to the world of benefit and compensation programs. She joined Abbott in 2011, as Divisional Vice President, Global Retirement Programs and HR M&A, after working as a benefits consultant in healthcare, hospitals and manufacturing.
Reflecting on her experience to date, Mary says, “My greatest satisfaction has come from seeing people I have managed or mentored grow and develop and be recognized for their achievements.”
In addition to leading Abbott’s Human Resources organization, Mary also serves as the President of the Clara Abbott Foundation.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in Applied Math and Economics from Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts.
