Peter Schutzel

Peter Schutzel serves as the Divisional Vice President and Associate General Counsel for International Legal at Abbott, a position held since April 2013. In addition to this role, Peter Schutzel has taken on various leadership responsibilities within the company, including Ethics & Compliance Officer for both Rapid & Molecular Diagnostics and Core Diagnostics and Corporate, as well as Division Counsel for Legal Regulatory & Compliance and Director of Investigations and Compliance Enhancements. Prior to joining Abbott, Peter Schutzel was a Partner at McDermott Will & Emery from 2003 to 2013. Academically, Peter Schutzel holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the University of Michigan Law School and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Economics from Emory University.
