Cyril Ramathal

Cyril Ramathal is an experienced professional in the field of clinical sciences with a strong background in genomics, pharmacogenomics, and biomarker development. Currently serving as Associate Director at AbbVie since August 2016, Cyril has held several positions including Principal Research Scientist and Senior Scientist III at the AbbVie Genomics Research Center. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Scientist at Astellas Pharma, where Cyril developed GLP-level pharmacogenomics screens and validated biomarker assays for clinical trials. Cyril's academic background includes a postdoctoral position at Stanford University, specializing in genetic tools and biomarker assays, as well as a PhD in Molecular Genetics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where research focused on steroid hormone receptor function in cancer.
