Iraz T. Aydin

Iraz T. Aydin is currently serving as the Associate Director of Precision Medicine Pathology at AbbVie since November 2022. Prior to this role, Iraz held multiple positions at Atreca, Inc., including Associate Director of Translational Medicine and Translational Sciences, as well as Senior Scientist and Scientist II in Translational Biology, focusing on mechanism of action studies and companion diagnostic development. Experience also includes a postdoctoral role at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where Iraz engaged in reprogramming somatic cells and studying FBXW7 mutations in melanoma. Earlier research positions at Columbia University and EPFL involved similar studies on FBXW7 and the development of novel mouse models. Iraz completed a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology of Cancer and Infection at EPFL and holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Bilkent University and Istanbul Technical University, respectively.
