Joan Byrne

Joan Byrne has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, currently serving as Vice President of Operations Science and Technology for Parenteral and Combination Products at AbbVie since May 2013. Previously, Joan held various senior leadership roles at AbbVie, including Vice President of Quality for Biologics and Combination Products, and Vice President of Biologics Quality Assurance. Prior experience includes serving as Sr. Director of Product Quality Assurance at Abbott Labs and Director of Parenteral Drug Products at Abbott Laboratories. Joan's career began at Pharmacia, where roles included Associate Director of Development Manufacturing and Microbiology. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and an MBA in Finance from Loyola University Chicago.
