Moiz Diwan

Moiz Diwan serves as the Director and Head of Biologics Purification Development at AbbVie since December 2019, leading a team of over 27 scientists and engineers in downstream process development for monoclonal antibodies and advanced modalities. With a strong focus on innovation, Moiz has successfully conceptualized and established the Flow and Automation Strategy Team, supporting extensive collaboration among 1300+ scientists across multiple functions. Prior to this role, Moiz held various positions at AbbVie, including Associate Director, where leadership of a multi-disciplinary center of excellence for reaction engineering was achieved, and significant contributions were made to enhancing process development through automation and continuous processing technologies. Educational credentials include a PhD and Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University and a Bachelor's Degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
