Maksim Pikhenko

Maksim Pikhenko has a diverse work history primarily focused in software development and leadership roles. Maksim is currently employed at ABBYY as the Principal Software Developer and Head of the Language Model Group, a position they have held since December 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Principal Software Developer and Head of the Language Model Group from May 2021 until December 2022. From September 2019 to May 2021, Maksim was a Senior Software Developer and Head of the Language Model Group, where they led the development of new language models for OCR and created automated training pipelines for neural networks. Maksim also held the role of Senior Software Developer within the Language Model Group from June 2018 to September 2019. Before their work in language models, Maksim was the Senior Software Developer and Head of the PDF Tools Development Group at ABBYY from May 2012 to June 2018, where they led the development of a library for reading, writing, editing, and converting PDF files. Maksim began their career at ABBYY as a Software Developer in the OCR Export Group from July 2010 to May 2012. Additionally, Maksim has also worked as an Invited Lecturer at Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (State University) - MIPT, Phystech from November 2014 to July 2015.
