Sharon Packer M.D.

Sharon Packer, MD, is a seasoned psychiatrist and psychopharmacologist with extensive experience in private practice since January 2001. As an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai since 2014, Sharon supervises psychiatry residents and collaborates on research and educational initiatives. Additionally, Sharon has held the position of Attending Psychiatrist at Beth Israel Medical Center since 1988, contributing to resident training and scholarly work. An accomplished author, Sharon has written multiple texts on the intersections of psychiatry, popular culture, and cinema, including "Cinema's Sinister Psychiatrists" and "Superheroes and Superegos." With a solid educational foundation from the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Sharon has also been involved in research related to gender and racial issues in online learning at the New School.
