Tonya Simpson

Tonya Simpson is an experienced investigative journalist currently working at ABC News since January 2020. Previously, Tonya served as an investigative producer at ABC11 Eyewitness News - WTVD from March 2018 to December 2019 and as an executive producer for the I Team/Special Projects at WTMJ from June 2015 to March 2018. Tonya's early career includes a role as a public relations professional for the Milwaukee County Department of Health and Human Services and production work at WISN-TV, where Tonya produced daily newscasts and live events. In addition to journalism, Tonya is an AFAA Certified Group Fitness Instructor and holds certifications for Zumba and Zumba Toning. Educationally, Tonya graduated with a Bachelor of Journalism in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
