Nicola Summers

Nicola Summers is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in financial control, reporting, and transformation across multiple sectors. Currently serving as Finance Director - Group Reporting at Abcam since April 2021, Nicola previously held the role of Director of Financial Control and Risk at Costa Coffee, where responsibilities included overseeing a team managing financial control for four operating units, assets of £700 million, and multiple legal entities. With a strong foundation in financial reporting and control established during tenure at Whitbread, including roles such as Head of Group Financial Reporting and Control, Nicola has a proven track record in management reporting, statutory accounting, and internal financial control framework development. Educational qualifications include a BSc in Geography and Maths from the University of Leeds.
