Sunny Vijen

Sunny Vijen is an Automation Scientist at Abcam since July 2022, specializing in the development of automation pipelines for biological research and manufacturing. Prior to this role, Sunny served as a Senior Scientist at Evonetix Ltd, contributing to the creation of an automated gene synthesis platform, and as a Research Scientist at Procter & Gamble, where engineering and programming efforts led to an automated platform for evaluating microbial susceptibility. Additional experience includes positions as Regional Lab Manager and Senior Scientist at Cignpost Diagnostics, and as a Scientist at ANGLE plc, focusing on imaging platforms for circulating tumor cells. Sunny's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics from Oxford Brookes University and advanced degrees from Imperial College London and Royal Holloway, University of London.
