Kate Caldwell

Kate Caldwell is a skilled research scientist with extensive experience in biotherapeutics and antibody development. Currently employed at AbCellera since January 2020, Kate has progressed through roles from Research Technician to Research Scientist. Previous experience includes working as a Technician in Production at New Beta Innovation Canada Limited and a Scientific Researcher at UCD Conway Institute of Biomolecular & Biomedical Research, where a Master's project focused on developing Estrogen Receptor Alpha targeting antibodies for breast cancer treatment. Kate has also undergone training in commercial biopharmaceutical production at the NIBRT National Institute for Bioprocessing Research and Training. Early career experience includes a managerial position as Senior Instructor at Mullaghmore Sailing Club, where leadership and organizational skills were honed. Educational qualifications include a Certificate of Achievement in Immuno-oncology from Harvard Medical School, a Master’s degree in Biotherapeutics, and a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Health and Life Sciences from University College Dublin.
