Giorgia Testoni

Giorgia Testoni has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Starting in 2008, they worked as a Research Assistant at UC Davis, focusing on the development of targeted treatments for fragile X syndrome and fragile X-associated tremor/ataxia syndrome. In 2010, they joined IRB Barcelona as a PhD candidate and later as a Postdoctoral Researcher, where they worked on metabolic engineering and diabetes therapy. At Novartis, from 2018 to 2019, they were part of the Medical Affairs department, supporting the Immunology, Hepatology, and Dermatology franchise. Giorgia then briefly worked as an Account Manager at Enantia, S.L., before joining Abi Global Health in 2020. At Abi Global Health, they have held roles as a Care Quality Manager, Care Quality Director, and currently as the Care Quality VP, responsible for the quality of services delivered and overseeing the Health Care Network.

Giorgia Testoni has an extensive education history. In 2004, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Medical Biotechnology from Università degli Studi di Ferrara. Giorgia then pursued a Master's degree in Molecular Biotechnology at Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna from 2007 to 2010. In 2008, they also attended the University of California, Davis, where they earned a Master's degree in Biotechnology.

Continuing their educational journey, Testoni pursued a Ph.D. in Biomedicine at Universitat de Barcelona from 2010 to 2016. During this time, they also attended various conferences and events, including the 22nd IUBMB - 37th FEBS, SFRR - Europe 2013 Meeting, NCMLS retreat, Science Career Day 2013, and Keystone Symposia. Furthermore, in 2011, they participated as an attendee in the Barcelona Biomed Conference "Mitochondrial Autophagy" organized by IRB Barcelona.

After completing their Ph.D., Testoni furthered their academic pursuits by obtaining a Postgraduate Degree in Innovation Management - Gestión y dinamización de la innovación en la empresa from Universitat de Barcelona in an unspecified year.
