Rachel Lopez earned their Associate's Degree in Theatre/Theater from Palm Beach State College in 1996, and then attended the University of Central Florida from 1996 to 1998, where they studied English/Theatre. In 2007, they enrolled in Iowa State University and obtained a Bachelor's degree in English in 2008. Rachel continued their education at Iowa State University, earning a Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing and Environment, Urban Studies in 2011.
